Repair Shop Policy

Equipment Evaluation & Repair Policy

At Seattle Pump and Equipment, we are committed to providing high-quality repair services for all equipment brought to us. We always use our professional expertise to evaluate each piece of equipment and determine whether it is economically and practically viable to repair. Our process includes:

  • Initial Evaluation: Upon intake, we assess the current condition, repair needs, value, and repair feasibility of the equipment.
  • Estimates: We provide repair estimates only if:
  • The repair cost is determined to be close to the equipment’s value and requires customer input.
  • The customer specifically requests an estimate at the time of drop-off.
  • Repair Authorization: If no estimate is requested and the repair is clearly justified, we will proceed with the repair at our discretion.
  • Warranty: All completed repairs are covered by a 90-day warranty on parts and labor related to the repair, unless otherwise noted.

Abandoned Equipment Policy

  • We request that customers retrieve their equipment promptly after repair. Any equipment left unclaimed for more than 60 days from the date of repair completion will be considered abandoned. In such cases:
  • Within the 60-days we will make reasonable efforts to contact the customer using the information provided at intake.
  • After 60 days, we reserve the right to dispose of, recycle, or resell the equipment to recover storage and handling costs.
  • Seattle Pump and Equipment is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from the disposal of abandoned equipment.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and up-to-date contact information.
  • Responding to communications regarding their equipment.
  • Picking up equipment in a timely manner.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of the repair. Equipment will not be released until full payment is received.
